A poster, perhaps, but not a banner (unless it was a small one) - Word's max
paper size is 22" x 22".

If that's big enough (and your printer can handle it) go to FilePage
SetupPaper & define your paper size first. While there, set your Margins &
you can also go to the Layout Tab to create your Border (button @ bottom of
dialog).

For 'custom lettering' I assume you mean WordArt, which you can get into
through InsertPictureWordArt or by clicking the Insert WordArt button on
the Drawing Toolbar.
