Word has a number of built-in List Continue styles whose indents match those
of the List and List Number styles. You might start with those. Or you can
start with Body Text and customize it.

Thanks very much for the pointer to Shauna's article. Her directions were
great!
But they didn't address how to get the "normal" style to indent, so that

its
left margin is the same as the numbered head's left margin.

Must I create a separate "normal" style for each heading, so that the
"normal" text under a numbered heading lines up?
Thanks very much for your help!

Do *not* try to use a single style (and certainly not Normal) for more

than
one outline level. To set up outline numbering correctly, see

hi:

does anyone have a template for a document containing outline numbered
headings whose normal style automatically indents correctly under the
heaings? or which contains multiple normal styles to automatically

indent
under the headings?

thanks,
