Hi Fuego and to those who are still unclear about this issue,
If you are using currently the latest Microsoft version 2007, here are the following steps you would have to follow stated below more in details:
1. Click “Page Layout” on the 3rd Column in between “Insert” and “References”
2. Click “Position” located at the last right column
3. Click on it and go to “More Layout Options…”
4. Change from “In line with text” to anything else, for e.g. “Square” as mentioned above by Macropod
5. Tada, you can freely move your picture anywhere on DOC
