When you insert a file into another, style definitions of the target
file will be used, unless style names in the source file are unique.
In other words, to preserve style properties, rename the styles in the
source document before inserting.
If you want to preserve headers and footers when inserting or pasting,
see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...thSections.htm.

I have two documents; each one has multiple section breaks. The
first
document (file1) has both headers and footers and each section is
formatted
using auto formatting outline styles.
The second document (file2) is mixed with headers and footers but is
mostly
blank forms (non-fillable).
When I attempt to insert file2 to the end of file1:
File2's fonts, font sizes, and some lines pick up numbering from
file1's
sections outline style.
I have tried adding a section break (continuous) and (next page) to
each
page of file2. I have also tried to add a (continuous) break to the
end and
beginning of file1 and file2. I have tried to cut and paste one
page at a
time and the formatting still goes all squirrelly.
Any help would be appreciated.
