Margins problems with Word 2003?

I suspect that your template overrides your manual resetting. Make
sure to make the changes on the Style level and tick "Add to template".
Also, you could open the template (the *.dot) connected to your
document directly, make the changes you describe, and save. The next
time you open your .doc it should be solved.
