You can assign a keystroke to open the Format Style Modify dialog
directly: go to Tools Customize Keyboard, select the Format
category and the FormatStyleModify command, enter a key combination,
and click Assign. (I'll suggest Alt+Shift+S, which isn't assigned to
anything by default.) From there, Alt+O, P gets you to the Paragraph
dialog.
If you'd rather open the Format Style dialog first so you can choose
the style to modify, assign the keystroke to the FormatStyle command
in the Customize list. After selecting the style, press Alt+M, Alt+O,
P.
One more possibility: Using the Commands tab of the Customize dialog
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Custom...oToToolbar.htm),
you can add the Style... command to the Format menu to open the Format
Style dialog (and, if desired, remove the Styles and Formatting...
command that opens the task pane). That will give you exactly the same
keystroke sequence you had in Word 2000.
