Thanks for your help, but I am still no nearer finding a solution. I have
done everything on this page numerous times with no results.
i have renamed the nornmal template, but now when I try to open it I get a
message sayiong 'error:could not open the document'.
Does anyone have any other solutions? If not, at least it would help to know
what has caused this...

How do I rename the normal template with Word closed? This does not make
sense to me. I'm afraid I'm not wonderfully computer savvy, so if theres
anyone that can explain in step-by-step how to do any of what it says on

stopped working is a mystery. It was fine all day, I left the computer
for

hours and when I came back it was like this. The microsoft website is
no
help
whatsoever, as the only solution it has for this problem is for word
2000-2003, and the pathways it describes do not apply for Word 2007.
If anyone out there can help I would very much appreciate it, as I am
at
the
end of my tether!
