If Word is asking this, you have changed the template; although possibly in
ways you wouldn't notice. Is it asking about the global template, normal.dot
or about a document template? http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm

Do you have Norton AV installed? If so, disable the Office Plug-In.
