Default Propagate nightmare

As far as Word is concerned the Avery document is a table. You have to tell
the merge routine that it is a label document and you do that from the merge
toolbar (extreme left button). This will pop up the label selector. Just
cancel that and your current document will be treated as mailing labels and
the propagate button will be available.

It is only simple when you know how.

Thanks Graham but I am still unable to make my labels work! It's so
frustrating... I went on Avery's website, found and downloaded the
template (11447) but when I open it, Word does not think that this
document are labels. I even placed this template in the Avery
subfolder of the template directory. Why is something that should be
so simple turn into a real headache.

Could I send you the template from Avery?

Thanks,

L.

Either check with the label packaging for the part number or the
Avery web site.
You can only propagate a label document that is identified as a
label merge document - see

Hi,

Windows XP - Word 2003
Last week, I read the mail merge, propagate website of Suzanne
Barnhill and was able to merge my Excel doc with Word but now.... I
repeated the steps but am unable to find the Avery template in Word.
It's a 8.5X11 sheet that you can separate in half sheets that
contain 8 labels across and 5 rows. I saved an empty document with
empty labels and cannot for the life of me, make the "next record"
propagate...

Please help me!!
Thanks,

Luke
