You made an important statement, the fall of the aztec civilization is traced to their habit of deforesting the jungle around them for building and to ornament their temples with stucco, which they made from wood ash. It turned the area around mexico city into unproductive desert land, no longer capable of supporting the people. Therefore, they never invented computers or software forums. (nice tie-in, don't you think...)
