Default How do you get the cursor into the next column?

Ordinarily Word expects you to fill one column before trying to put text in
another, but you can insert a column break in a partially filled column
using Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

I know this will be the dumbest question you have all heard, but I don't
generally use word processing programs.

I'm trying to create a mock-up of a form for a new service I'm offering in
my business and I'd like to use 3 columns.

I set up the colums just fine but how do you get the cursor to switch to
the
next column?
