Default Formatting one page in a document with two columns

If the footer is "same as previous" linked you should not have any problem.
Also check the page number format for "continue from previous section".

Insert a "Section Break - Continuous" before and after the area you want
to
be 2-columns. Then change the format for columns within this Break. Insert
a
page break before and after this area if you want it to be a defined
seperate
page.
Hope this helps.

Word 2007 - is it possible to have one page in a multi-page document with
two columns?

Thank you very much - it is actually the last page in the document, so the
"after" one is redundant.
All I need to do is to resolve the page numbering.... sigh
