Default New Header/Footer Quick Part?

hi !
ok - your way works.
But the optionion of the building blocks is another: name+f3 - insert as
footer, header, text, = as gallery name=typ?

Is this right?

Susan

OK, if you type the name of the building block and press F3 it will always
be inserted at the insertion point. To automatically insert the entry into
the header, use Insert tab | Header and select the entry from there.

hallo,

i create following text in the a header section in new document:
left: name , right: logo
line at bottom
save it in BuildingBlock

Katalog=Gallery: Kopfzeilen=Herade
Kategorie=Categorie: Integriert
Save in: BuildingBlocks.dotx

Save all, Close word
Start Word - new document:
In tge document (not hearder): kopf2+F3
- it is in the text(body) section of the document, not in the header.

I'm not sure that we are referring to the same thing here. What were the
exact steps you followed when you created the building block/quick part?

Hi

I choose header/footer in the gallery for my new header-building
block -
it
does not work ...

any idea?

Susan

You must choose "Header" for "Gallery" when you create the building
block;
otherwise Word won't automatically insert it into the header. (The
same
applies to footers.)
