select the word for which you want a synonym and SHIFT-F7 to get the
thesaurus (similar to F7 alone for spellcheck)

I'm guessing maybe you're referring to synonyms? For those you should look

I have used earlier versions of MS Word and been able to find Pseudonyms

in
Toolslanguage but in Word 2003 I cannot find how to access them if they
are there.
