On the Edit tab of Tools | Options, clear the box for "Keep track of
formatting."

The Styles and Formatting pane is a very neat tool, but is there a way to
stop (and then restart) the addition of new entries for each combination

of
styles & direct formatting.

We're just looking for more control over it.

Thanks

Would anyone know of a way to stop Word 2002 from tracking the

formatting
in
the Styles and Formatting pane; not just hiding it (via Tools -
Options -
Edit tab - "Keep track of formatting"), but stopping it ??

Thanks
