Does this have something to do with the copyright question you asked
earlier? If so then forget it. *Any* document that you allow someone to open
can be edited. You can merely make it a little more difficult to do so. If
copyright of your documents is to become an issue, then seek the advice of a
lawyer specialising in copyright, as there are plenty of things that you can
do to preserve your copyright that don't involve trying to achieve the
impossible.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to protect the footnote with
password? so other people cannot change it.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Eric
