i am struggling to understand your oblique comments about my reply. i have
read a some articles that i found on word macros and template by "googling".
they still did not help me. i have gone thorugh an awful lot changing the
"Macros In" (i presumed this is the source of the problem) without any
success but a lot of time sure is expanded but good thing is, in-spite your
lack of help, i hope i learnt something. in the end though, i just deleted
those macros (though saving the codes so i can use them again) and
everthing's ok now.

on another note, i am not quite sure how to view your 'helpfulness' to me.
you assumed things to be quite obvious without realising that it may not be
so obvious to others (or at least to me). i have searched some your postings
and realised that most of your responses are quite similar in
tone/obliqueness. nevertheless i do thank you for at least spending the
effort to reply to me. if nothing else, they made me think of a work around
to my problem.
