Default Table of contents

Try Ctrl-3 instead of Ctrl-Shif-F9. This locks the field but it remains a
field.
What do you mean when you say it loses its formatting? Are you sending as an
attachment?

When I send a WORD document using OUTLOOK, the TOC loses its formatting.
The
table then needs to be updated again. Is there a way to keep it as a TOC
(not doing the Ctrl-Shift-F9) and send it so it arrives with the correct
page
numbers?
