You need to set the endnote placement as "End of section." Then, for every
section preceding the one where you want the endnotes accumulated, check the
box for "Suppress endnotes" on the Layout tab of Page Setup.

This is a seemingly easy request, one would think, but I am working on a
document that is a compilation of papers from different sources, different
formats, different versions of Word. Most of the papers include endnotes

the end, but for some reason, I can not continue the document and start a

page with a page break feature because the endnote format has restricted

Changing them to footnotes worked once, but does not work in the next
