Hi Natalie-

It may be that the other app is using a font which includes a bullet
character that doesn't convert correctly, especially if the exact font is not
instaled on the system where the doc is used.

Have you tried selecting the bulleted paragraphs, then FormatBullets &
Numbering to make the formatting chane there?
