If, when you paste them into Word and apply Normal style, they still appear
"double-spaced," it could be because they have extra line breaks. Displaying
nonprinting characters (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm) will help you
determine this, and the article at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CleanWebText.htm will help you get rid
of them.
