Note also that if you center the cell contents both vertically and
horizontally, you'll get the appearance you want.

If you want to make one of those flyers with a row of tear-off tabs at
the bottom, I suggest you use a table. Insert a table with 1 row and
10-15 columns (for an 8.5 x 11 page). Change the text alignment in
that row to vertical and make the row deep enough for the name or
phone number or whatever.

In Word 2007, you can select the row, right-click, choose Text
alignment.
