Thank you SO MUCH!! That FAQ's site is enough to "keep me amused" for a long
time! I think I'll find most everything I've been trying to do lately

How do I save formatting changes to numbered lists & bullets permanently? I
keep changing the tabs & spacing, and then save the blank document to a new
NORMAL.DOT file, and when I restart Word, they are right back to the
defaults. I want to make the changes permanent, and it appears that
NORMAL.DOT is not the way to do it.
