Default word won't install - time not correct

How does installation know the time is incorrect? If it's because you're
connected to the internet, I would try disconnecting, then installing, and
then activating AFTER installation, possibly using the telephone method if
the time problem still occurs.

setting the time... I've never heard of a 2gopc, but if I had that kind
of problem, I would call the vendor.

I have a 2gopc running windows XP.
the time/date is inorrect, and for some reacson I can't change the data
either manually or with internet syncronization. A pain, but not a
biggie.

downloaded microsoft office 2007 today.I tried to install word, and can
get
to the second wizard install screen. the wizard detects that the time is
not
correct, and requests that i change it. of course, I can not, so I hit
next.
The install wizard won;t let me make forward progress with the time
incorrect.

so two questions:

anybody know how to force a time change to take?

anybody know how to activate a downloaded version of word w/o using the
wizard?
