What are the maximum numbers of characters you can use to name a file??!
That depends on the operating system, the file system, and the program
accessing these files.
Usually, the limit is 255 characters for a filename, 260 for a full
path. However, for NTFS filenames under NT5.x, the limit is 32K
characters.
Trying it out in your environment shouldn't be too difficult.
