Take a different approach. I suspect you're trying to create some sort of
form? See the "graphic lines" technique at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/LinesInForms.htm. Or omit the lines
altogether.

I have a document with a 30 line table inserted into it. As I am

I have tried selecting the text wrapping option "Around" but that does

help.
Very annoying when typing and having to remember to check where I am

stop and click on the next row and start again.
