that a damaged Word Data key is not the only explanation; sometimes
add-ins change your settings, and the only solution for that is to ditch
the problem add-in.

But, how can I change those settings so they will stay that way when I
start create new documents, edit old documents, etc.?

For example, I do not want Word 2003 to automatically capitalize the
first letter of each line or sentence. And, I do not want it to
automatically create numbered or bulleted lists. I know how to change
that each time I am using Word 2003. But, how can I set it so those
types of options are the default every time I use Word 2003?
