Default Field codes: DocProperty field

You should be able to insert your fields the way you described it: by
pressing Ctrl+F9 and then adding the field code within the field delimiters.
I do that all the time when working with fields.

If you press Alt+F9, then do you see the code you entered? (Alt+F9
shows/hide field codes.)

If you select the field and press F9, then does it update correctly?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if there is a way to manually insert the fields instead of
doing Quick parts Field.

The reason being that I have many fields with similar starting names and
I can't scroll over to see how they end(resulting in putting in the
wrong field). I was trying to do ctrl+f9 and inserting {DOCPROPERTY
fieldname} but when i saved the field was gone.

Was I doing something wrong or is there another way of inserting
docproperty fields?

Thanks guys.
