It sounds like the AutoText entries were created using a document with
Track Changes enabled.

To correct the issue you will need to redefine the AutoText entries in
the template after you've accepted the changes.. Insert them in a
document, accept the changes, and then redefine them by selecting the
entry in the document and adding it again using the same name. Note
once you add it using the same name you should be prompted with a
message asking if you wish to "Redefine the AutoText entry".
