OK, send the file to . But note that you will have to
wait a few days for an answer.

Can I send you the document in pdf format to discuss the matter offline?

In the Mark Index Entry dialog box (press Alt+Shift+X to display it), use
the "Cross-reference" box to type static text, such as your paragraph
numbers (delete "See" which is shown by default). Click Mark. Click Close
to
close the dialog box.

When you mark text for inclusion in an index, Word inserts an XE field in
the document. For the static text, a \t switch is added. To see the
fields,
display hidden text, for example by clicking the ¶ button on the Standard
toolbar.

For example, an XE field might look like this: { XE "my index entry text
here" \t "1.2" }.

You can edit existing fields; just add or modify the \t switch. It can
even
include a cross-reference to a paragraph number in your text.

How can you apply indexing in Word 2003 to show what paragraph number
it
resides, not the page number.
