Files on CD are always read-only.
Files on the hard drive - using Windows Explorer, right click properties
uncheck the read-only flag.
If this doesn't make it work correctly, you probably have an orphan lock
file - see

Hi Graham
The "read-only attribute property" is not ticked and when I copy my
resume from the document to a CD is still copied "read only". Matbe
there is something I don't understand so can you write step by step
what I should do to get rid of the "read only".

DON'T work oiin it from the CD. Copy it to the hard drive, remove the
read-only attribute property, edit the document, save it to the hard
drive, then copy it back to the disc using your disc mastering
software.

Everytime I work on the CD that contains my resume, the message
"Read only" appears and I can't do modifications on my resume. Is
there a way to copy to a CD and be able to work on it later.
Thank you
