I am wanting to insert a Watermark into a single page document. The
picture I am using is a logo that I have on my hard drive and have no
problem inserting it into the document. My problem is that I want it
to be centered on the page, and it keeps going to the top left of the
document. I have inserted it into the doc and the header both but
can not get the logo to center on the page.

When you insert the picture, Word makes it "in-line with text" -- that is,
it behaves like a single large character. Click once on the picture, go to
the Picture toolbar that appears, click the Text Wrapping button (silhouette
of a dog on a background), and select any of the other items on the
dropdown. For a watermark, Behind Text is probably the right choice. You can
also use the buttons at the left end of the toolbar to reduce the contrast
and increase the brightness of the picture, so it doesn't obscure text that
passes in front of it.
