Default Spell check

After opening the file, press Ctrl+A to select the whole document.
Then go to Tools Language Set Language. Make sure English is
selected, and make sure the "Do not check spelling and grammar" box is
not checked. Click OK, and then try the spell check.

I have a .TXT file. Each row has three columns:

1. a number
2. a city name
3. a Zip Code

When I open the file with EXCEL 2003 and click "TOOLS/SPELLING", it
finds misspelled city-names.

But, when I open the file with WORD 2003 and click TOOLS/SPELLING &
GRAMMER, a box appears saying "The spell check is complete". It does
NOT find the misspelled city-names that EXCEL 2003 found. (I've even
removed the "Custom Dictionary" but the misspelled city-names are still
not being found).

How do I get WORD 2003 to find the misspelled city-names?
