thanks, I'm a little unclear how to do it for percentages (its 7% in excel,
but 0.07 in word)

any ideas?

There are two ways to approach this. In a mail merge, you can add a

numeric
picture switch to the merge field. Or you can connect to Excel via DDE
instead of OLEDB. For more on both, see

Word and Excel 2002

I'm importing from Excel to Word.

When I import what looks like $12,000 in Excel, it becomes 12000 in

Word.
I
understand that's because the data is 12000 and in Excel I've formatted

it
with Currency and Comma styles.

My question is, what's the easiest way to get $12,000 in Word without

having
to manually fix each entry?

Thanks in advance.
