Default Numbering and Formatting

Check out the help articles on cross-references for how you can easily do
what you want.
Except one point, you cannot cross-reference a standard bullet, but if the
"bullet" list is a numbered list then yes you can and the cross-reference
will update if/when the #5 moves do to additions/deletions.
Be aware that the cross-references do not automatically update, unlike the
numbering, but you can refresh the Xrefs by either: 1) Ctrl+A (select whole
document), F9; 2) go to Print View and then back to whatever veiw you work in.

Hope this helps

So I have been given the task of editing a document..... and the owner wants
to know if I can insert a link in a sentence to a certain numbered bullet on
another page in the document (wants the actual number to be displayed).
Then..... if the number of the bullet changes for some reason he wants the
number in the sentence to change as well.

Sentence: For further instruction please see # 5.

so if the list of bullets gets edited, he wants the # 5 in the sentence to
automatically change to what the new # is in the list.

Is this possible?

Make sense? I hope so
