Default How do I format numbers merged from Excel in a Word 2007 table?

Typically,
a. use Alt-F9 to reveal the field codes. You should see something like
{ MERGEFIELD myamount }
or
{ MERGEFIELD myamount \*Mergeformat }

where "myamount" is the column name of your number.
b. delete \*Mergeformat if you see it, and type in a "numeric format
switch" so your field looks as follows:

{ MERGEFIELD myamount \#"$,0.00" }

In this case, $ is the currency sign, "," is the thousands separator set
up in regional options, and "." is the decimal point set up in regional
options. So substitute those values as necessary.

If you happen to have values in different currencies in the same column,
things are harder - ask again.
