Default If Then Help Please

Are you sure that you used Ctrl+F9 to insert the field delimiters? Maybe
all you need to do is toggle off the display of field codes.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Doug,

Odd, that's what I had and it didn't work. So I rebooted, tried a test
with
new Data and word doc, and it worked. Then I tried it again in the real
doc
and it worked. But now my {ADVAVCE \y 240} doesn't work. It is lower
down
at the start of the letter where I have "Dear so and so" It actually just
prints {ADVAVCE \y 240} on each page. Why would it do that?

The "" is not really necessary.

Use Alt+F9 to toggle off the display of field codes.

Ive looked around here but couldnt find the solution. Im missing
something.

This is what I would like to accomplish;

IF { MERGEFIELD Address1 } = €śtext I want€ť then insert { MERGEFIELD
Unit },
If not as in something different, do nothing.

Im using Word and Excel 2003

Thanks
