Hi Brenda,

Usually, I find I have to select "Word 1", then go out of the dialog box and
back into it. Then additional "Word n" selections will be available in the
list.

Client is using Word 2000 on Windows XP. The Help talks about how to do
this under Troubleshooting Sorts and Lists. You have to go to Options and
give a field separator, in this case a space. The trouble is that in Word
2000, all of those options are greyed out and inaccessible.

I've done the process on Word XP running on Windows 2000 and it works fine.
I did have to delete the header row and have nothing but data, but I did get
the options to sort on Word 2. I also duplicate NOT being able to select a
field separator on another Word 2000 machine here which happens to be
running on Windows 2000 - so we have the problem still on both operating
systems.

I have gone so far as to delete all columns BUT the name column. All are
two-word names, all have a regular space separating the words, all are one
name per row. Why can't we go select a field separator which would allow us
to choose Word 2 as our sort option?
