Default Headers and Footers

When you enable "Different first page," there is no linkage between the
First Page Header/Footer and the Header/Footer. They're entirely separate.
"Link to Previous" or "Same as Previous" comes into play only when there is
more than one section, and each type of header/footer (First Page, Odd Page
or primary, Even Page) is linked or unlinked only to the previous one of the
same type.

I would format the section with a different First Page (Page Layout).

Leave
the second page footer marked as Same as Previous. Remove the information
from the First Page header and unlink the second page header.

If you still have trouble, let us know which version of Word and someone

can
provide more precise procedures.

How do I get a header not to show on the first page but still want the
footer
to show on the first page.

Or I want to put a logo on the very bottom of the first page only and not

on
any additional pages. I was putting the logo in the footer. Maybe there

is
another way?
