It probably has a paragraph mark or line break at the end of each line. Turn
on nonprinting characters, using the ¶ toggle button. If that's it, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/CleanWebText.htm for the procedure to
remove them.

Otherwise, look at Format Paragraph to see if there are indents.
