Default how do I assign word as my default email editor?

I have to do this every time I reboot my computer. Is there a way to lock in
this setting?

Open Outlook. Choose Options from the Tools drop down menu. Click on Mail
Format in the Options dialog box. Choose HTML and check the box Use
Microsoft Office Word to edit e-mail messages. Might as well check the box
below that.
