Default WORDART SHAPES IN WORD 2010

Arlene

Delved a little further in 2010.

You can add old "Word Art Styles" command - first one you come to back to
the Ribbon or the QAT in 2010 if you wish to use them as a default but they
will automatically invoke with old WordArt from 2003/2007 anyway. So they
are available in 2010 if you wish to customise Ribbon or QAT.

Thanks, Janine. That's a good suggestion but I'm writing materials for
using
Word 2010 so I can use only features native to the software. Thanks again.
I'm just out of luck on this one.

You said 2010 so I responded to that question and no they are not
WordArtStyles of 2007/2003. The WordArtStyles are not in 2010 on the
ribbon
but you can insert any of the WordArtStyles from 2007 and the
WordArtStyles
will show up when inserted.

I suggest you save one in autotext (WordArt 2007 shape) and insert it in
2010 and then go from there so you are working as in Word 2007 and Word
2003
with WordArtStyles.

No time to delve further today as to the differences between 2007/2003
and
2010 WordArt.

That has no effect on the shape of the WordArt. In Word 2007, try this:
Insert tab, Text group, WordArt button; click any of the WordArt
samples
with
a shape, such as WordArt style 22; type any text, click OK. With the
WordArt
selected, from WordArt tools tab, Format tab, WordArt Styles, click
Change
Shape. Those are the shapes I'm trying to recreate.

Did Microsoft remove the "Change Shape" choice from "WordArt Styles"
in
the
new WordArt feature?
