Hi,
"w/encl" and "w/encls" (or"wo/encl", "wo/encls", sometimes "encls" on its
own) are used in US texts.
They are abbreviations for "with(out) enclosure(s)".
If you go to
http://yosemite.epa.gov/r9/sfund/ari...b!OpenDocument
(U.S. Environmental Protection Agency), you'll find a "List of
Abbreviations and Acronyms Used in Administrative Record Index". It lists
"encls" as abbreviation for "enclosures".
So no correction might be required...
Here are URLs to US documents containing such abbreviations:

Hope this helps.

Hi Gordon,
Yup! Not my form and it comes to me with a boat-load of typos that require
correction. This client is Canadian and it may be proper there. I'm looking
for a method to expedite the editing process. I've mentioned the fact that
they have a high number of spelling and grammatical errors and it seems to
fall on deaf ears. They're probably struggling trying to support their
database system.
