It sounds as if the entire document is a single paragraph. Are there spaces
between what appear to be paragraphs? If so, then, with any luck, they're
created with two line breaks. If so, you can replace two line breaks (^l^l)
with a paragraph break (^p), and then you can apply your indent to all of
them.
Also, if there are actual line breaks represented by a pilcrow, you can
usually find those by searching for ^13.
