Default Watermarking only certain pages

Watermarks you insert via the built-in functionality are WordArt graphics
anchored to the header of the document. Headers (and footers) are properties
of sections. Therefore, you will need to insert section breaks (Next page)
before and after the content that needs a watermark. It sounds as if you have
already divided your document into sections - in that case, it is step 3
below that you are missing.

The procedu

1. Insert the required sections breaks.

2. Insert the desired watermark (skip this step if watermarks have already
been inserted).

3. Double-click a header to go to the header area. In the header of every
section, turn off €śSame as previous€ť (in case of Word 2003 or earlier: click
the €śLink to previous€ť icon in the €śHeader and Footer€ť toolbar (no. 5 command
from the right) €“ in case of Word 2007: turn off the €śSame as Previous€ť
option found on the Design tab that appears when you are in the header or
footer). In general, when turning off €śSame as Previous€ť, it is a good idea
to start from the end of the document and move forwards one header at a time.

4. Now the header of each section can be treated individually. Go to the
header in a section where the watermark is to be removed, click the WordArt
watermark to select it (shows handles). Then press Delete. Repeat for all
other sections where the watermark is to be removed. Note that since the
watermark is anchored to the header, the selection must be in the header in
order to be able to select and remove the watermark.

An alternative method:
Instead of using the built-in watermark functionality for watermarks, you
could create watermarks manually using WordArt and anchor the WordArt to e.g.
the first paragraph in the table on the relevant page. Set the wrapping style
to €śBehind text€ť. Repeat on all pages that are to hold a watermark. If you
use this method, you would not need to insert section breaks in order to
handle the watermarks.

I have a long document with many tables. I want only certain of the
tables to have a "Information Only" watermark behind them. I followed
the instructions in the help file and Office Online very carefully and
the watermark always applies to the entire document. If I try and
delete it from a section I don't want it in, it deletes from the
entire document.
