In the Find and Replace dialog box, ^l seems to find text-wrapping
breaks as well as line breaks.

Seems as if you have a line break (Shift+Enter) character in each

the affected paragraphs. If you are using the line break to add
un-bulleted text between bullets, you may not want to remove it.
Instead, you can check the "Don't expand character spaces on the
line
ending Shift-Return" option in Tools | Options, Compatibility tab.
Note that you can click the ¶ button on the Standard toolbar to

Thanks Stefan. Actually, I found this is a text wrapping break as
described in the mvp site.
If there a way I can search and replace such a break by a regular
paragraph break? It does not seem to appear in the "special" list
for
search.
Correcting this situation as suggested in Compatibility did help me
solve the problem, but I am still curious.
Best regards
