Word freezes when several Word windows are opened
WordXP
Is there a default # of Word documents that you can have opened at one time? I have a user that keeps freezing when she opened more than one document. It is to the point that 3 documents is too many to have open at one time. Thank you. |

The only limit is the resources available on your computer and, of course,
the size and complexity of the documents. If each document is just text and only a few pages long, you could have dozens open - maybe a hundred open. I've never tried to max out. However, there is a maximum that you can OPEN SIMULTANEOUSLY (by multiple selection). The combined docname and paths may not exceed 255 characters. -- Terry Farrell - Word MVP http://word.mvps.org/ "Debutante" wrote in message ... : WordXP : : Is there a default # of Word documents that you can have opened at one time? : I have a user that keeps freezing when she opened more than one document.
