I have created a 'template' in which I have created 'fields' that I fill in.
I then save the final document as a *.doc.
However, when someone else opens this document, the fields will change from
the actual data to the Field Codes "{}". When I click ALT+F9, the field
codes are still there.
How do I stop these field codes from showing up? I want the final document
to be just words, not codes.
I'm not very good with writing code. I've read other threads similar to
this, but don't understand what I need to do.

Field display (codes vs. results) is dependent on system settings. You have
no control over the settings on someone else's computer. Tell the recipient
to go to Tools | Options | View and clear the check box for "Field codes"
before opening the document. Alternatively, unlink the fields
(Ctrl+Shift+F9) before you send the document.
