I am so sick of these updates you would think that if microsoft creates an
update they would make sure that it would work properly with other programs ESPECIALLY their own LOL. Ive done two system restores to delete the update, however it keeps downloading and I lose all ability to do anything in office 2007. Unless of course I want to use the keyboard to highlight, copy and paste myself. Anyone else experience these issues and were you able to correct it yourself, since obv Microsoft cant figure out how to make their products compatible with each other. btw this is why people buy Macs ![]() |

I had this problem posted about 4 days ago, and finally had to pay the 50
bucks to Microsoft help because I didn't realize at the time that they were at fault. The money went down the drain because by the time they got back to me by email I had uninstalled my 2007 Word program and reinstalled it without the udates 0n anywhere from June8-11. Make sure you uncheck download updates automatically because the first time I did it it did the same thing The second time without the updates it works like it used to. The problem I have now if any of you can help is that I can't download any templates from Office online. The error says either I am not online or not the administrator and both are not true because I am on line and the administrator. The Microsoft guy didn't solve my problem for 50 bucks but can any of you PLEASE -- Mo "CShep" wrote: I am so sick of these updates you would think that if microsoft creates an update they would make sure that it would work properly with other programs ESPECIALLY their own LOL. The only problem I had after last weeks automatic update was that it
decided my Word files should open in 2003 instead of 2007. It was easy enough to fix. You could turn off automatic updates, and get notices of update availability instead. There were two recent Office 2007 updates - one of which would be included
in the automatic updates, the other you would have had to ask for - that have proved to have a few problems and which are reportedly being fixed. They are KB969604 and Hotfix KB 969961 respectively. You can uninstall both from Windows add or remove programs without having to restore the system. Instead of allowing Windows to automatically update, ask it to advise you of updates instead. You can then choose whether to install updates including this errant one. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org CShep wrote: I am so sick of these updates you would think that if microsoft creates an update they would make sure that it would work properly with other programs ESPECIALLY their own LOL.
