Hi everybody,
I had a problem with tracking change in word although I turned it on with settings (I'm using Word 2007): + Insertions: Underline. + Deletions: Strikethrough. + Display for review: Final showing makeup. + Show make up: check all items of this section and "All reviewers" is chosen. But when I let my mouse to some deleted text/insert text (which were strike through/under line), there's no any comments displayed to show that who the author is. Could anyone help me? Thanks, |

It looks like it's controlled by "tool tips."
Go to Word Options (Office Button in the top left corner, button in the bottom of the frame) Go to "Display" (second item in the list at the left) Turn on "Show document tooltips on hover" (3rd item on the right) Click OK at the bottom On Feb 9, 5:39*am, RubyQuyen wrote: Hi everybody, I had a problem with tracking change in word although I turned it on with settings (I'm using Word 2007): + Insertions: Underline. + Deletions: Strikethrough. + Display for review: Final showing makeup. + Show make up: check all items of this section and "All reviewers" is chosen. Hello Peter and everybody,
Now, the comment box is displayed to show who the author is but it displays too fast (about 1 second). I can't read it clearly. Could you please help me? Thanks, Quyen Last edited by RubyQuyen : April 9th 12 at 09:21 AM |

I've never known a Comment balloon to go away. Maybe you just need to
close and open Word, or Restart the computer? Also look at all the many options in the Track Changes area of the Ribbon. Maybe something has gotten checked that shouldn't be. What, exactly, is disappearing? Balloons or tooltips/screentips?

Comment box I mentioned is the boxed text message appears when a mouse cursor is put over a text message (which is inserted/deleted). I don't know what it is called (tooltip or screentip). Thanks, Quyen. |
